Leila Marie Patzies is one of the emerging artists selected to preview her solo piece "Why Death Was Just Death" during one of the CORA side event nights. The german dancer has been recognized for her figurative works, blending realism with introspective themes.
BIO
Leila Marie Patzies (1994) is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and dance educator based in Berlin. She trained at Iwanson International in Munich, Varium in Barcelona, and CobosMika Seeds in Palamós (Spain), focusing on improvisation, acting, and partnering. She has worked with renowned choreographers and created Why Death Was Just Death, performed in Berlin and Italy. She received two grants from Dachverband Tanz (2021, 2023), one for artistic growth and dancer rehabilitation. In 2023, she founded the Berlin dance collective Pieles Permeables. In 2024, she deepened her studies in Yin Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine and became a certified teacher and performer with the Judith Sánchez Ruíz Company in 2025.
