A space charged with urgency, where bodies collide, disperse, and search for direction.

Movement builds in waves—restless, fragmented, and intense—until, unexpectedly, a moment of stillness emerges. In that pause, something shifts: time stretches, breath deepens, and a fragile calm takes form.

In this work, choreographer Edivaldo Ernesto brings together the dancers in a physical landscape driven by tension and release. The stage becomes a field of acceleration, where rapid sequences, sudden changes, and dense group dynamics create a sense of agitation and instability. The dancers move as if propelled by an inner urgency, constantly negotiating space, rhythm, and proximity.

Amid this turbulence, a transition unfolds. The pace softens, movements lengthen, and a collective stillness begins to surface. What was once chaotic becomes suspended, almost weightless. This slow, calm passage does not erase the previous intensity but transforms it, allowing a different kind of presence to emerge—more attentive, more grounded, more vulnerable.

Through the contrast between agitation and quiet, the work explores the body’s capacity to shift states, to hold both tension and release, and to find clarity within disorder. The dancers move between extremes—fast and slow, dense and sparse, forceful and delicate—tracing an emotional arc that reflects the complexity of human experience.

Each performer exists both within the group and in their own internal rhythm, contributing to a shared energy that continuously evolves. In this interplay, the choreography reveals a landscape where chaos and calm are not opposites, but part of the same continuum.
