Sleep Effect
2026

Sleep Effect explores human unawareness and passivity through a physical journey between inertia, connection, and the desire to awaken.
Sleep Effect is a contemporary dance piece exploring the concept of “existential sleep,” inspired by the ideas of Anthony de Mello. Through movement research with closed eyes, it investigates the human condition of unawareness and passivity. The body becomes the site of a dramaturgy born from physical experience, constantly shifting between inertia, connection, and the desire to awaken.
Choreographer and creator: Miriam Bonaccorso
Performers: Marco Varriale & Reneè Ferro
